Glen Avon Lodge is a first-class, family owned five-star Boutique Hotel, and is situated on the outskirts of Cape Town in the suburb of Constantia, which is the oldest wine growing area in South Africa. The international airport of Cape Town is about 25 minutes by car. The hotel offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and is an excellent starting point for excursions to Cape Town’s historic centre or to the Waterfront, a visit to the spectacular new MOCAA Museum of Contemporary Art or a ride on the cable car to the famous Table Mountain. The valley of Constantia at the foot of the Table Mountain is home to world-famous wineries that invite you to a wine tasting. Only a short drive away by rental car or taxi, are the Botanical Garden of Kirstenbosch, the Steenberg Estate with a first-class golf course and the Norval Foundation Museum, which was opened in 2018. Not far away, are other golf courses such as Westlake, Clovelly, Royal Cape etc. In Constantia itself, there are some excellent restaurants, which are among the most famous in the country and offer creative top cuisine at moderate prices.
This Boutique hotel Glen Avon Lodge with a very personal touch, is quietly located in an elegant residential area of Constantia. It has 16 individually designed rooms and suites. In the evening a Table d’Hote Menu is served, which does not have to fear a comparison with the best Cape Town restaurants. The wine list offers an excellent selection of first-class wines from Constantia and the other South African wine-growing regions.
